1Scope of this policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Child Growth Predictor ("the app", "we", "us") collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the app on Android. It is intended to meet Google Play's User Data and Data Safety requirements. By using the app, you agree to the practices described here.
The app is designed for use by parents, guardians, caregivers, and healthcare workers to record and forecast a child's growth (height and weight) over time. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice.
2Information we collect
We collect only what the app needs to function. What is collected depends on whether you use the app as a Guest or sign in with a Google Account.
Child growth data you enter
- Child's name (as you choose to enter it — a nickname or initials work fine)
- Gender (boy / girl), used only to apply the correct growth reference
- Height and weight measurements, and the dates they were recorded
- Generated predictions and health status flags (stunted / underweight / wasted) derived from the above
Account information (only if you sign in with Google)
- Your Google account email address and display name, used to identify your account and sync your data
Automatically generated identifiers
- A random Guest ID generated on your device to keep your data separate from other users, even before you sign in
App preferences
- Settings such as light/dark theme, stored locally on your device
3How we use information
Information you provide is used strictly to operate the app's core features:

We do not use your data to build advertising profiles, and we do not perform any analytics that identifies you individually beyond basic app functionality.
4Storage & security
Guest modeData is stored locally on your device only, using standard on-device storage. It is not transmitted anywhere unless you choose to sign in.
Signed inData is stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) and Firebase Authentication, Google-operated cloud infrastructure, so it can sync across your devices. Data in transit is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS).
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, but no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6Children's privacy
Child Growth Predictor is intended to be used by adults — parents, guardians, caregivers, and healthcare professionals — to record and track a child's growth. The app is not directed at children, and it is not designed to be operated directly by a child.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Any child-related information in the app (name, gender, height, weight) is entered by the adult user, at their discretion, about a child in their care, for the purpose of tracking that child's growth.
If you believe a child has provided us with personal information directly, please contact us at contact@mangantechlab.in so we can review and delete it.
7Your choices & rights
- Use as a guest to keep all data on-device, with nothing sent to our servers.
- Export your data at any time as a PDF growth report from within the app.
- Delete a single child profile from within the app at any time.
- Reset the app from Settings to permanently erase all saved children, predictions, and history from your device (and sign you out of your Google account on that device).
- Sign out of your Google account at any time from Settings.
- Request full account deletion — including cloud-synced data — by emailing us at contact@mangantechlab.in, or visit our Delete Your Data page. We will act on verified requests within 30 days.
Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under applicable data protection law (such as access, correction, portability, or objection). Contact us to exercise these rights.
8Data retention
Guest data remains on your device until you delete a profile, reset the app, or uninstall the app. Cloud-synced data (for signed-in users) is retained until you delete it in-app, request deletion, or your account is removed. We do not retain data longer than necessary to provide the app's features.
9App permissions

10International data transfers
If you sign in with Google, your data may be processed and stored on Google Firebase infrastructure, which may be located in a country other than your own. Google maintains its own safeguards for cross-border data transfers as part of its cloud services.
11Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app or applicable law. We will update the "Effective date" above when changes are made. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
